FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How does CCC charge for its services?
CCC will charge either an hourly rate, a flat fee, or a retainer depending on the
work requested and the needs of the particular law firm. Each case can be
individually negotiated so that she can tailor the costs specifically to the budget of
the law firm and the client.
2. Where will the work be done?
Again, the needs of the client and the particular law firm will be discussed and the
preference of the attorney respected. CCC has its own offices, conference rooms,
and staff. We are happy to meet the client or the lawyer either at the offices of
CCC or at the attorney’s office. When preparing documents such as discovery,
orders, and settlement packages, it is more convenient for the documents to be
prepared in the offices of CCC and then delivered to the law firm upon completion for the attorny's review and approval.
3. Can CCC be hired to just prepare a particular document or set of documents?
Yes. The law firm may want just a single document or set of documents prepared
such as a final order in a family law case or discovery responses. However, CCC is also available to work with the attorney throughout the case and prepare for the
attorney all documents, discovery, and proposals needed for each stage of the case.
4. How does CCC bill for their services?
After negotiating how the law firm wants to structure the particular fee, CCC will
provide an itemized statement of all time and expenses incurred and send it to the
law firm. The billing can be sent via email so that the itemized statement can be
easily adapted to the particular law firm’s billing procedure.
5. What happens in the case where CCC has worked, or is working for the opposing
counsel?
When CCC is hired to work on a particular case, Ms. Clements will disclose
whether or not she has ever been hired by opposing counsel or is presently
working on a project for the opposing attorney. At that time, the law firm and
CCC can determine whether or not a conflict exists and, if so, whether or not to
proceed or create a Chinese Wall or other protective device on those particular
files.

MISSION STATEMENT OF CCC:
